At present, the construction of centralized seedling cultivation greenhouses has achieved phased results, injecting new impetus into the local agricultural modernization process.
As of now, centralized seedling raising greenhouses have been built in Huayuan Town, Longtan Town, Shilan Town, and Jiwei Town, with a total area of 32,000 square meters.
The temperature and humidity of these greenhouses can be effectively controlled through advanced technologies, ensuring the healthy growth of seedlings.
Compared with traditional seedling cultivation methods, centralized seedling cultivation in greenhouses not only saves time and labor, but also significantly improves seedling quality, facilitates mechanized transplanting, effectively reduces costs, and increases economic benefits.
Since the beginning of this year, through centralized seedling cultivation in greenhouses, the mechanized rice seedling transplanting has been completed on 4,166 mu (about 277.73 hectares) of land, with a rice yield of 229,100 kg and an increase in dry grain yield per mu (0.067 hectares) by 12.7% to 21% compared to traditional transplanting methods.
The county agricultural machinery affairs center will continue to increase investment to expand the construction area of centralized seedling breeding greenhouses, improve supporting facilities, promote the in-depth development of centralized seedling breeding greenhouses, and contribute to the county’s agricultural modernization and high-quality development of grain production.
